We provide a number of services to our clients. We assist in getting all types of visas including temporary resident visas, permanent resident visas, citizenship and refugee.

TEMPORARY RESIDENCE

Temporary residence Visa: All foreign nationals are required to apply for a temporary resident visa before entering Canada. However, nationals from a visa-exempt country may apply for an electronic travel authorization (eTA) at the port of entry. There are different types of temporary resident visas and the eligibility and requirements for each type of visa are different.
Types of temporary resident visas include study permit, work permit, post graduate work permit, visitor visa and super visa.

Visitor visa

A visitor visa is required if you want to travel/transit through Canada. It is generally a multiple entry visa and allows a stay for up to six months per visit. If your intent is to get a study permit, you also need to get a visitor visa/eTA along with study permit.

Super Visa

Super visa is also another type of visitor visa. It is also a multiple entry visa generally issued for 10 years or the validity of the passport. It is specially designed for parents and grandparents who want to visit their children or grand children and allows to stay for straight two years.

Study permit

A study permit is required if you are planning to study in Canada and the duration of course program is more than six months, if there is a co-op/internship component in your course program.
There are two ways to apply for a study permit i.e. regular stream and student direct stream. The eligibility and requirements for both of these are different. You may be eligible for student direct stream and faster processing if you are a legal resident of: China, India, Morocco, Pakistan, The Philippines, Senegal and Vietnam.
We assist our clients in applying and getting a study permit. Our team is dedicated to provide with the best available options to the prospective students according to their requirements. We also help extending study permit and change in conditions on study permit.

Work permit

A work permit is usually required if anyone want to work in Canada however, in some cases work permit is not required. It is required by students who have a co-op/internship component in their study course program.
There are two types of work permits:

  • Open work permit, and
  • Employer specific work permit.

The eligibility and requirements for both of these are different. An open work permit allows to work for any employer in Canada where as the employer specific work permit only allows to work for a specific eligible employer and no one else.
We strive to help our clients getting and applying for work permit, temporary foreign work permit, extending or change conditions on their work permit. We also help in applying for Post Graduate Work Permit once students are completed their designated study course.

PERMANENT RESIDENCE

Permanent residence: A foreign national can acquire permanent resident status if the officer is satisfied that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria and is not inadmissible. There are different ways to become a permanent resident of Canada. Each category has different requirements and steps.

Express entry system

Express entry system is an online tool where interested candidates creates their profile online through which applications are ranked in points according to six selection factors. The highest ranked people are be invited to apply for permanent residence. There are three classes to apply under express entry system. These are

  • FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER
  • FEDERAL SKILLED TRADE WORKER
  • CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS

Any foreign national who intent to immigrate to Canada under Federal skilled worker class must meet the minimum requirements of the selection factors. The selection factors include the following factors and for each of these the applicant get pre-specified points.
a) age
b) education
c) work experience (in Noc-0, A, B)
d) job Offer (Or Proof of funds)
e) language
f) adaptability

Provincial nominee program

Provincial nominee program gives opportunity to the provinces and territories to nominate interested candidates who intent to immigrate to that particular province and acquire permanent resident status. This program let the provinces nominate individuals who have the skills, education, experience and willing to contribute to the economy of that particular province.
Each province/territory has its own Streams and requirements and thus nominate semi-skilled, low-skilled and in demand occupations. These may vary according to the requirement of each province. You may apply on paper/online.

Note: candidates who intent to immigrate to Canada using provincial nominee program through express entry options, must also be eligible and meet the requirements for the three federal classes, i.e. federal skilled worker, federal trade worker and Canadian experience class.

Family sponsorship

The permanent residents and citizens of Canada are given the opportunity to reunite with their family members. They can sponsor a relative to become a permanent resident of Canada. However, to be eligible for being sponsored they must be a:
a) Sponsor’s spouse, common law or conjugal partner
b) A dependent or adopted child of the sponsor
c) Sponsor’s mother or father
d) Sponsor’s grandparents
The sponsor must meet the eligibility in order to successfully sponsor his family. There is a mandatory requirement when sponsoring a member of family class i.e. the undertaking.

Length of undertaking

Person being sponsored: Effective from the day becoming a PR
Spouse, common law, conjugal partner: 3 years
Dependent child under 22 years when becomes a PR: 10 years or the age of 25, whichever comes first
Dependent child over 22 years when becomes a PR: 3 years
Parent and grandparent and their accompanying dependents: 20 years
Other relatives: 10 years

An eligible sponsor should be:
a) A permanent resident, Canadian citizen or a registered Indian
b) Be 18 years of age
c) Sign appropriate undertaking for all members being sponsored
d) Sign an agreement
e) Meet the LICO for 12 months for other relatives. In case of parent or grandparent sponsorship program, the LICO + 30percent for 3 taxation years.
Note: There is an exemption of financial requirement when sponsoring spouse, common law partner or conjugal partner and dependent children.

Business class immigration

Business class immigration is designed for people who intent to invest money/starting business in Canada and possess the ability to become economically established in Canada and support Canadian economy. There are two categories under this class:

Self employed category is designed to help self employed persons who have at least two years of experience in eligible self-employed occupation and is willing to become self employed in Canada. Those who want to immigrate under this category must obtain a pass mark of 35 points in their selection criteria and meet other eligibility and admissibility requirements.

Start-up visa is for entrepreneurs who want to immigrate to Canada and create jobs for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. To be eligible for this category, you must have
• A qualifying business
• Meet language requirements
• Enough money to settle in Canada
• Get letter of support from a designated Canadian organization.

Citizenship/Naturalization

Canadian citizenship can be may be granted to eligible permanent residents/landed immigrants who meet specific criteria. There are two ways of obtaining Canadian citizenship: by Birth and by Naturalization process.
The following are some of the requirements to obtain citizenship.

a) Be a Canadian permanent resident
b) Proved the required language ability
c) Being physically present in Canada for at least 1095 days in last five years i.e. three out of five years
d) Filed at least three years taxes in last five years
e) Passed the citizenship test
f) Not become Inadmissible

A fast track citizenship process is also available for Canadian armed forces or for foreign military members on exchange with the Canadian armed forces.
